In 2018, Big Poppie’s had a strong Third Place finish in the Beer Cheese Festival competition! This will be Big Poppie’s third time competing at the Beer Cheese Festival. They’ve been making beer cheese for friends and family for years, but a few years ago, decided to start sharing the goodness.
Blue Isle is located right here in Winchester, Ky. Serving American, Caribbean, and Southern fare. This will be their second time competing at the Beer Cheese Festival!

Copper Kettle has been making its unique and tasty beer cheese and Benedictine spreads for close to 30 years. What started as a home-grown recipe that was enjoyed by friends, has turned into a line of cheese spreads that are sold in retailers and food service operators throughout the Midwest!

2017 and 2018 First Place winner! Made in neighboring Nicholasville, Kentucky Beer Cheese is a tradition 25 years in the making. Using THE original beer cheese recipe as a starting point, Kentucky Beer Cheese put their own twist on the tradition for a unique flavor profile. They brought home the first place price in 2011 and claimed first runner up in 2013. Will their winning streak continue?

Just when you thought the competition couldn’t get hotter, Nana’s Beer Cheese arrived on the scene! Nana’s is brand new to the commercial market this June, and is looking to wow your taste buds at the 2019 Beer Cheese Festival.
Roddy B’s Beer Cheese

River Rat Beer Cheese, made right here in Winchester, will be competing for the 11th year in a row! They took home People’s Choice in 2017 and 2018 and second place 2016, 2017 and 2018. Is this the year they finally win first place?
Slushers Beer Cheese is produced in Morehead, Kentucky. This is their first year competing in the Beer Cheese Festival. Welcome!
Smitty’s Beer Cheese made in Paris, Kentucky takes local to the next level by using beer from Rooster Brewing in their secret recipe. Smitty’s took home second place at Country Boy’s amateur competition in 2018 and decided to turn professional. This is their first Beer Cheese Festival competing with the pros. Welcome, Smitty’s!
