Beer Cheese Festival heats things up again in 2012

4th Annual Winchester Beer Cheese Festival is June 8-9

Winchester, Ky - The 4th Annual Beer Cheese Festival will be held in downtown Winchester on Friday night, June 10^th and Saturday, June 11^th. The Festival will begin on Friday night at 6 p.m. with live music on the Court House Steps.

The hours for Saturday at the Festival are from 10 am to 5 pm and include the following:

Lots of Beercheese tasting from Kentucky’s best Beercheese Makers!

Live music from Regional Artists

Children’s Area

Juried Arts and Crafts

Area restaurants and vendors will provide Kentucky’s favorite eats

Activities for the youth of our community including a skateboard area

And new this year will be the Kentucky Proud area, including foods and products made by Kentucky residents.

A $5 wristband is required to sample all the varieties of beer cheese. Visitors will be able to vote for their favorite beer cheese. The money raised from the event will allow Winchester First to focus on downtown revitalization.

“This is the only event of its kind in the world,” says Jenny Bailey, Chairwoman of the Beer Cheese Committee. “In addition to all the great tasting beer cheese, it is a great opportunity to support the beautiful and historic downtown of Winchester,” she stated.
